Our Vanlife Checklist!

Updated: Sep 20, 2023

So as I am sure you are aware space in a Campervan is certainly limited so essential items only! I know this can be very difficult especially if you are planning lots of different types of activities and also want to still be presentable. I have come up with a "what to pack checklist" to help you for your trips. Obviously this is for a pretty standard trip...if you are planning on climbing Mont Blanc or deep sea diving I would conside some other things!

Up Sticks Campers Hire Van

Clothes

Remember you can always wear something more than once, maybe even more than twice. I think most of us will agree as a rule we always pack too much, and end up bringing at least half of it back untouched! I would reccommend 1 top per 2 days with maybe one to spare. A few bottoms, be it trousers or shorts depending on the length of your trip, maybe some base layers and jumpers plus a warm jacket, Remember even in the summer months it can get cold in the evening and when Camping the outside is your entertainment! This is a rough guide - but I think the motto when packing is always question whether you actually need it.

Kitchen Cupboards

As standard we provide the things you need to make your first cuppa!

But we also offer a Kitchen Essentials Kit which includes everything you need to cook and dine within the Campervan.

Below is a list of everything included within our Kitchen Essentials Kit

  • Bowls

  • Plates

  • Bamboo Cups

  • Up Sticks Mugs

  • Wine Glasses

  • Cutlery Set

  • Knives

  • Scissors

  • Peeler

  • Bottle Opener

  • Tin Opener

  • Cooking Utensils

  • Kettle

  • Cafetier

  • Chopping Board

  • Saucepans

  • Ridgemonkey

  • Salad Bowl

Additional Things To Include

So this part obviously depends on what you plan to do on your trip. Think whether you plan to be outside and want to bring outdoor chairs, tables fire pits, lighting (who doesn't enjoy a fairy light!?)

Bedding wise I generally bring a duvet, pillow, sheet and blanket just incase - All our Campervans are fitted with a heater but sometimes its nice to cuddle up in the pop top roof with the scenic canvas open staring at the stars.

I hope this has been a help in what to include when experiencing the #Vanlife.

The thing to remember is keep it light and simple....the whole ethos of these trips is to strip it back and enjoy whats around you and maybe step away from our "everyday normal".
